Sending a report to an AI coding agent
If your site is built or maintained with an AI coding agent — Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex or any other — a report from Revisionme can go straight to it. Every report has a Copy for AI agent button: it puts the whole report on the clipboard as a prompt, and you paste it into the agent's chat. No screenshots to attach, nothing to retell in your own words.
What the prompt contains
Everything the agent needs to find the place in the code and fix it, as plain Markdown:
- the page URL the report came from;
- the selected text and the sentence around it, so the agent can search the source for the exact phrase;
- the visitor's comment;
- the marked area, its size and position on the page, when the report is about an area rather than a phrase;
- the viewport size, the scroll position, the browser, the OS and the browser language — enough to reproduce a layout problem;
- links to the screenshot and to the report itself;
- a short instruction: find the element, fix what the comment describes, summarize the change.
An example of what lands on the clipboard:
## Visual feedback on the site (Revisionme)
- **Page:** https://example.com/pricing
- **Reported:** 2026-10-09 12:40 UTC, by anna@example.com
- **Selected text:** "Start you free trial"
- **Comment:** Typo: should be "your". Also the button is cut off on my phone.
- **Viewport:** 390×844 px, scrolled to (0, 1180)
- **Browser:** Mobile Safari 18, iOS 18, language en-US
- **Screenshot:** https://…/snapshots/….png
- **Report:** https://revisionme.com/app/#/share/…
Find the place in the source code of this site that renders the page above
(search for the selected text), fix what the comment describes, and summarize
what you changed.
How to use it
- Open the report in the web app or by its public link — the button is there too, so a developer without a Revisionme account can use it.
- Press Copy for AI agent.
- Paste into the agent's chat, in the project of that site. Agents that can open URLs will fetch the screenshot themselves; otherwise open it and describe what you see, or attach it.
- When the agent is done, mark the report Resolved.
Several reports on one page? Copy them one after another into the same message — the agent handles a list of findings well.
A site built with AI
This is the shortest loop we know for sites made with an agent: install the widget, send the link to a client, a friend or a tester, and let them mark the problems on the live page. Their reports come to you as structured prompts instead of blurry phone screenshots in a messenger, and the agent gets the exact phrase, the URL and the viewport it needs. You stay in control: nothing reaches the agent until you paste it.
No copy-and-paste: connect the agent directly
For a site you keep improving, skip the button altogether. Revisionme has an MCP server: create an API key under Account → API keys, add the server to Claude Code with one command (Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code and Codex take the usual mcp.json), and the agent reads the open reports itself, sees the screenshots, fixes the problems and marks the reports resolved. Setup, tools and the REST API: REST API and MCP server.
claude mcp add --transport http revisionme https://api.revisionme.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer rm_…"
What is coming
A CLI that writes reports as files into the repository for agents without MCP, and webhooks for fully automated pipelines. They are on the roadmap; if one of them matters to you, write to hello@revisionme.com.
